Lucy founded MEND in East Jerusalem in 1998. She has lived in Palestine since 1978, taught at Birzeit University, directed the Institute of Modern Media at Al-Quds University, and works with the Nonviolent Peaceforce and GPPAC.
The organisation operates with local leadership, regional trainers, and long-term partnerships with community actors. We prioritize safeguarding, accountability, and community ownership in every project cycle.
